A Farewell to Foolish Objects, 2011
found paper, dimensions vary

I mashed up this paper using my hands, water and acrylic medium. I chose to make surgical tools as they are meant to fix or correct the unseen failures within ones body. I see these new sculptures in content, form and method containing a double edge of violence and care. The appearances of these harsh tools for careful treatment are tender and rough, seductive and grotesque.

Surgical instruments: Wartenberg Pin Wheel, Bone Awl, Debakey Forceps, Rib Spreader, Finger Retractor, Joseph Scissors, Scalpel, Bone Saw, Nerve Hook and Repercussion Free Mallet
