Panoply, from the Greek “panoplia” meaning all arms or a splendid array, plays on both senses of the term—its protective roots and its expansive scope. In these animations, AI’s many “arms” become both a mesmerizing display and a subtle shield, masking deeper truths behind the spectacle. By immersing viewers in screens that simultaneously captivate and distort, “Panoply” illustrates how media’s dazzling illusions can protect us from confronting what lies beneath.
